It’s on again. THE sporting spectacular of the year! On Friday, November 29, we will hold our annual ‘Junior Athletics Experience’ (weather permitting).
As announced at assembly on Monday, the school will advise stakeholders of any cancellation due to weather via the school’s SMS messaging system.
Congratulations to Kalinda’s Junior (Grade 3&4) Hoop-Time team who played in the McDonald’s Hoop-Time Junior State Finals at Dandenong Stadium on Monday.

School Council Elections
The ballot for 2013 School Council elections has now closed. Congratulations to Mrs Jo Hambleton, Mrs Milana Wallace and Mrs Nicole Sweeney on being elected to the Kalinda Primary School Council for 2013. Congratulations also to our teachers, Miss Michelle Ogilvie and Mrs Anita Elliott who have also been elected onto Council for 2013. The new Committee will be confirmed at the next School Council Meeteing on Tuesday, 12th March 2013.
Enrolments for 2014
Prep enrolments for 2014 now being taken. We offer tours of our school to all interested parents. Rather than taking group tours of several parents at once, all of Kalinda's tours are done 'one-on-one'. This allows for a more personal experience, and for parents to be able to ask any questions they need to as they go along.

Kalinda is a learning community of students, teachers and parents founded upon quality relationships characterised by our values. At Kalinda we are committed to fostering a "lifelong love of learning".
We actively engage students in a range of meaningful learning experiences. Through these experiences our children will construct those understandings and acquire the competencies needed for further education, the workplace and the achievement of a quality lifestyle in a constantly changing society.
Our school culture is based upon our values and a sense of community. We respect and care for each other at all times. We begin each year with our Quality Beginning program, designed by our teachers. During these first two weeks we review our Values, learn how we think and learn and how we can improve, set goals for the year, learn about our school and community and, most importantly, get to know each other. Strong relationships, based on respect for each other as an individual, are developed between students, staff and community.
Our excellent programs, in all Key Learning Areas, are complemented by our extra-curricula learning experiences in all curriculum areas. We believe in providing challenges and opportunities to extend children's learning, build self esteem and foster an awareness of community responsibility.
We invite you to ring for a personal tour of the school where we will proudly show you around the school and you can tell us about the individual needs of your child and ask questions about us.
