Kalinda Primary School cherishes the community we have and the one that surrounds us. We hold numerous school-wide occassions throughout the year that allow our students and community to come together as a whole. Our school is well known for its welcoming, friendly community that is built upon an 'open door' philosophy.
We strongly encourage our families to be involved as much as possible in their child's education.
Carols night is a school community highlight, held each December.
We invite all families to our fortnightly assemblies held on a Friday afternoon.
Parents and families are welcome to assist in the running of the Foundation PMP program.
Got some time to spare? Come and help in the Library, we would love your assistance.
We also encourage families to get in contact with their Class Parent Rep. They can let you know when your teacher is looking for classroom helpers.
Art room helpers are welcome. Mrs Shaw will often request parent helpers for certain activities during the year.
Our working bees allow families and students to help maintain our wonderful grounds. For parents who cannot assist with other activities, this is a great way to help maintain our wonderful grounds, and meet other families. Ted organizes a BBQ after the morning.
All helpers (including parents) and classroom visitors MUST have a current Working with Children Check, and sign in at the office using Passtab.
Visitors must also sign a Code of Conduct as per the Department of Education regulations. This stipulates that you will not take any photos of staff or students.
