Every second year, our Senior students are given an incredible opportunity to travel to Japan together with Warranwood Primary School. This much-anticipated experience goes far beyond sightseeing - it’s a chance for students to build genuine friendships, immerse themselves in a new culture, and develop real-world communication skills that last a lifetime.
We’re excited to share that all successful applicants for the 2026 Japan trip have now been notified - congratulations to those students! The journey begins well before departure, with our upcoming Branch Out sessions bringing together students from both schools. These collaborative sessions will take place in Week 3 and Week 8 of Term 2, and again in Week 4 of Term 3, helping students connect and prepare for their shared adventure.
There’s also a fantastic opportunity for creativity across our school communities! The Branch Out logo competition is now open to all students at Kalinda, Warranwood, and Lilyvale. The winning design should celebrate the friendship between our schools and our countries - beyond that, imagination is the limit! Kalinda students can collect submission forms from the Japanese room, with entries closing on 15 May.
We can’t wait to see the creativity, connections, and excitement grow as we lead up to this unforgettable experience.
