Kalinda Parents & Friends Association works alongside the school to run fantastic community events and services that benefit the social connection and community spirit between students, families, staff and the greater community of Kalinda Primary School. Parents, Guardians and Friends of Kalinda are all welcome!

Meetings

We meet Monthly in the evenings at a local Venue. The meeting nights vary generally between Tues-Thurs to allow a greater availability of members. You do not need to be available for every meeting to join the committee, we understand all members have varying schedules and busy lives! Choose your level of commitment which will vary through your time at the school

Foundation Welcome Morning Tea

Easter Raffle

Mothers/Fathers/Special Persons Day Stalls

Open Night Welcome Service (Such as providing Tea & Coffee)

School Disco

Co-ordination of Carols Night Food Trucks and Stalls

Social Evenings for Parents such as Trivia Nights, Movie Nights, Dinners where the main purpose is community connection rather than fundrasing

What other services do you provide?

Co-ordinating Class Liaisons for each class or year level who then help run specific class events and assist school communication through online groups and in person.

You can be a general member or a member of our Executive Committee.

Exec Roles are filled each year at our AGM, generally held in early February

Volunteers and helpers at school will need a valid (in-date) Working with Children Check (Department of Education regulations). You can apply for a WWCC online, or at any Post Office.

All visitors on site need to sign in, for emergency management purposes. Part of this process will ask you for your WWCC, so please ensure you bring it in each time with you.
